IslandDAO started in 2022 as Dean's List DAO, a service organization focusing on providing feedback to Solana protocols and supporting ecosystem growth.
In 2023, it formed regional teams in Nigeria and Brazil, bringing education and opportunities to communities.
By 2024, it rebranded to IslandDAO and hosted two pop-up cities:
